The Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has shocked many by moving back to his old IPL team Mumbai Indians after leading Gujarat Titans for 2 seasons. In these 2 seasons, Hardik Pandya made GT win the IPL trophy in their debut season and in the second season, GT may have not won the IPL but the team made it to the finals for the consecutive second time.
Hardik Pandya was first bought by MI in 2015 at a base price of Rs. 10 lakhs and he was released by the Mumbai franchise ahead of the IPL 2021 auctions. Vikram Solanki, the director of cricket, Gujarat Titans, has stated that it was Hardik Pandya’s desire to return to his old franchise and they respected his decision.
Hardik Pandya has also thanked GT, the management, his teammates and fans for the love and support that he got during his stint as the skipper and termed his 2 years at GT as an unforgettable journey.
