A California woman won a lottery prize of Rs 75 crore. The woman had unintentionally pushed the wrong number on a vending machine
A lady in California, United States, won Rs 75 crore ($10 million) after inadvertently pressing the incorrect button on a lottery vending machine.
According to a California State Lottery news release, LaQuedra Edwards deposited $40 in the Lottery Scratchers vending machine at a Vons supermarket in Tarzana in November 2021.
When “some unpleasant person” knocked against Edwards, she inadvertently pushed the wrong number on the machine.
According to a news statement from the organisation, Edwards claimed, “He simply bumped into me, didn’t say anything, and just went out the door.”
The machine dispensed a $30 200X Scratchers ticket, which Edwards had no intention of purchasing.
According to Fox Business, she acknowledged she was unhappy about spending 75% of her money on one ticket.
After leaving the store and returning to her car, Edwards began scratching her ticket and discovered she had won the game’s top prise of $10 million.
Edwards says, “I didn’t believe it at first, but as I got on the 405 highway and kept glancing down at [the ticket], I nearly crashed.I pulled over, looked at it again and again, scanned it with my [California Lottery mobile] app, and all I could think was, This can’t be right I’m still stunned.”

After accidentally hitting the wrong button on the lotto machine, a woman became a billionaire by accident.
Edwards intends to use her money to purchase a home and establish a non-profit organisation.
The retailer where she purchased the winning ticket received a $50,000 bonus.
Other lottery players in the United States have been equally fortunate in their quest for the top prise.
A New York man won the top prise of $10 million on a New York lottery ticket in February. This was the man’s second lottery win of $10 million.
Juan Hernandez was the lucky winner of a New York Lottery $10,000,000 Deluxe scratch-off ticket.
In 2019, he won $10 million from the Cash Spectacular scratch-off game.
