Taarak Mehta’s director posts a selfie with Shailesh Lodha, and fans demand his return

0

One of the most popular sitcoms on television is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Fans have been calling for Shailesh Lodha’s return to the show ever since its director Malav Rajda published a selfie of him doing so.

Malav Rajda posted a selfie that included actor Jatin Bajaj (who played Bhailu), TMKOC Creative Supervisor Krunal Khakhkhar, and Taarak Mehta actor Shailesh Lodha. Malav captioned it, “The person I have bothered the most on the show by saying, ‘Mehta saab ko chod ke baaki sab ka pack up.'”
It prompted other show fans to beg Shailesh Lodha’s return in the comments. One user requested that Asit Sir bring Shailesh back, writing, “Sir, please urge Asit Sir to bring Shailesh back, we want this Mehta Sahab.”

Another added, “Mehta sahab ko wapis leke.” Please bring Mehta Sahab back; I don’t like the current one. “Kyun boring hogaya hai TMKOC,” a viewer said in response. Log chhod ke ja rahe hai Drag is present in this sentence. Please bring back all the former celebs. Plzz…”
For those who are unaware, Shailesh Lodha departed the show in the middle of the year, reportedly over creative disagreements with the creators. He has not spoken about the cause of his departure, but he did allude to a dispute with the producers in a digital show.

Sachin Shroff has taken over from Shailesh. Fans originally rejected his admittance, and they voiced their disappointment by making the show trend on Twitter and calling for Shailesh Lodha to come back.

After a bike accident, a US guy wakes up thinking it’s 1993 and asks his wife to marry again

0

The 58-year-old claimed that his wife is the only one who helped him survive the tragedy, even though he has no memory of it.

Last year in the United States, a man who barely survived a motorcycle accident awoke believing it was 1993 and proposed to his wife again.

In June 2021, a car that ran a red light crashed into Kristy and Andrew Mackenzie of Virginia, narrowly avoiding fatal injuries.

After being flung more than 50 feet across the street, the husband was knocked out and required life-saving surgery. After the collision, the two were immediately flown to a local hospital due to internal bleeding, punctured lungs, and fractured bones.

However, when Andrew awoke three days later in the hospital, he believed he had returned to 1993. The previous 29 years had vanished without a trace.

Lorelai Mentzer and Amanda Mackenzie, his own daughters, were unfamiliar to Kristy, who admitted as much to the outlet.

“Where is my wife?” he said outright and right away. Who is my wife? “Additionally, I believe he believed I was a hospital employee,” says Lorelai.

In contrast, Andrew told the newspaper that “Kristina in a wheelchair by my bedside trying to worry about me taking care of myself” was among his earliest memories.
Doctors were unable to say whether Andrew’s memory would ever return, so they had to break the heartbreaking news to the family. But after learning the news, his wife persuaded the hospital personnel to provide her husband with a room of his own because she thought it would assist with his memory.

There were happy tears, and he was a completely different person in just a day, Kristy recalled.”He started coming around and asking me questions, and I was, like, astounded.”

After 11 days in the hospital and intensive rehabilitation, the couple was finally able to walk.In August, they even went on a family beach trip. Andrew reaffirmed the couple’s vows days after he proposed to them once again during this trip.
“Thankfully,” she confirmed. “It worked well because we’d been married for, what, 37 years,” explained Andrew.

The 58-year-old stated that his wife is the only one who kept him alive, even though he has no memory of the disaster at all.

Know how Teachmint is boosting the potential of education thru technology

0

Teachmint has impacted 1.5 million instructors and students in over 30 Southeast and West Asian nations. The Integrated School Platform, the company’s core product, allows schools and institutions to digitize all of their activities on a single platform.

Teachmint has penetrated over 30 Southeast and West Asian nations, touching 1.5 crore instructors and students at a time when caution is the norm when it comes to edtech. The company has expanded into Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, among other countries.

Teachmint co-founder Mihir Gupta says, “At this time, I’d want to emphasize the distinction between digitalisation of education and online learning. We’re betting on the former. Our services empower schools, whether offline or online, by assisting them in optimizing procedures, saving time, and reducing costs, while also providing instructors with tools to generate higher engagement and efficiency in classrooms (whether online or offline).”

Teachmint’s core product, the Teachmint mobile platform, was launched in early 2020 to enable offline teachers to easily continue instructing in the midst of the pandemic. It is a free SaaS-based, mobile-first end-to-end solution.

Teachmint is presently accessible in 20 Indian and worldwide languages, and it has served 1.5 million instructors. IIT alums Mihir Gupta, Payoj Jain, Divyansh Bordia, and Anshuman Kumar founded the Bengaluru-based firm. The four have worked as executives at OYO, McKinsey, Swiggy, and Roposo, and were recently named to the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list.

Payoj Jain, who has been active in his family’s CBSE-affiliated school in a rural part of Madhya Pradesh, is aware of the issues educators confront in the absence of easy access to technology.

“We were able to properly appreciate the gap in school and teacher digitalization as a result of this. From various, fragmented technologies to gaps in technological comprehension, we saw that a comprehensive digital infrastructure for schools and instructors had not been established at scale. We began to address this by launching the Teachmint smartphone app, which assisted instructors in digitizing their classrooms in minutes,” Mihir remembers.

Teachers may use the Teachmint app to take live courses, create and grade assignments, and exchange comments.

“What we realized and solved for along the road was designing a mobile-first, low-bandwidth optimized offering. This enabled us to fully penetrate India and establish a presence in over 5,000 cities and towns. This also provided us with a significant potential to develop worldwide across emerging markets,” Mihir explains.

The firm has since extended its products and introduced its main product, The Integrated School Platform. This SaaS platform allows schools and institutions to digitize all of their activities on a single platform, increasing efficiency and results.

Teachmint now employs over 500 people and is located in Bangalore. “As schools reopened over the last year, we have seen significant uptake of our products, and we continue to create deeper capabilities to reinforce it,” Mihir explains.

In the following year, the edtech firm will concentrate on product innovation and expansion. Aside from that, Teachmint intends to expand its presence in the markets in where it now operates.

Mihir explains, “We are on a mission to extend the possibilities of education. We are certain that infrastructure innovation and enabling may help transformational institutions like schools have an even larger effect.”

People with hearing loss can now listen to music with new technology

0

Scientists have created a prototype gadget that will allow those who are deaf to listen to music through touch. The prototype makes use of “tactile illusions,” which are algorithms that turn monophonic music into palpable sensations based on vibration. It might lead to a portable terminal that can be quickly transferred to cellphones and transported to concerts.

Scientists have created a new prototype system that will allow those who are deaf to listen to music through touch. The prototype, detailed in the journal LNCS, makes use of “tactile illusions” and comprises of an algorithm that turns monophonic music into vibration-based palpable stimuli.

“It’s like ‘hacking’ the nervous system to get a different reaction to the genuine stimuli,” claimed researchers from Spain’s University of Malaga. The researchers created an algorithm that converts musical characteristics and structures into “vibrotactile stimuli” in the study.

The program extracts musical elements and structures from Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) files, resulting in “symbolic representations” of sound.

“It’s kind of like mapping music,” research co-author Paul Remach remarked.

The study, which included more than 50 volunteers, reveals that the arrangement of “tactile illusions” generates more pleasant than negative feelings in individuals, eliciting a distinct emotional reaction than the original music.

“Although musical qualities such as rhythm, pace, and melody were mainly recognized in the arrangement of tactile illusions,” scientists noted in the research. Scientists anticipate that further research will enhance and broaden the range of musical characteristics analyzed by the algorithm, such as variations in vibration direction and position.

“It is a difficult procedure since the perceived frequency range of the skin is smaller than that of the auditory system, which may result in the loss of some musical qualities,” researchers stated.

They hope the prototype might lead to a portable terminal that can be readily transferred to electronic devices such as cellphones and transported to concerts.

“What we hope to achieve in the long run is for patients who cannot hear to be able to ‘listen’ to music,” Dr. Remach said, adding that the technology might also be used to treat mental problems and pain.

RedBrick AI gets $4.6M to expand the market for its healthcare solution

0

Healthtech startup RedBrick AI has secured funding of $4.6 million. The company is planning to expand the market for its medical imagery annotations solution.

RedBrick AI, a healthtech business, has secured $4.6 million in a fundraising round led by Sequoia India and Surge in Southeast Asia to extend the market for their medical picture annotations product.

Artificial intelligence is becoming widely used in clinical diagnostics. However, researchers must devote a significant amount of their early effort to prepare data for AI system training.

Hundreds of annotated medical photos and thousands of hours of annotation by doctors are also required for the training process.

With its automated and semi-automatic annotation tools, the Delaware-based SaaS business, which has an Indian office in Pune, is addressing this issue. RedBrick AI co-founder and CEO Shivam Sharma claims that the company’s flexible workflow system, which works with medical images such as CT scans, X-rays, MRIs, and ultrasound, speeds up annotations by up to 60%.

Sharma said,”RedBrick wants to  lay t the foundation for artificial intelligence in healthcare. In the future, we hope to assist teams with everything from data preparation through FDA certification of algorithms.”

RedBrick AI, founded in 2021 by former SpaceX Hyperloop engineers Sharma and Derek Lukacs (who also serves as CTO), provides specialized annotation tools that can be accessed via a web browser and integrated into customers’ existing data storage systems, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure. It also provides semi-automated techniques for annotating complicated 3D medical pictures.

RedBrick AI also offers APIs that machine learning experts may use to link with their cloud solutions and clinical data storage, such as hospital enterprise PACS systems.

Sharma said, “Clinicians merely need to enter information into their browser, and the process is fully automatic.”

Once properly annotated, images can be utilized for more rapid and thorough diagnosis. Annotated imaging can also be utilized by surgical robots and to automate cancer screening.

RedBrick AI is a seven-person team headquartered predominantly in India, however the business markets its solutions mostly in the United States and Europe.

The company also views open-source tools as the primary competitor, followed by in-house solutions built by corporations to solve their unique needs.

RedBrick AI’s early customers include the German biotech firm Orbem, the Canadian cancer and illness screening platform Prenuvo, the Boston-based non-profit hospital and physician network Mass General Brigham, and the Maharashtra-based radiology AI platform Deeptek.

Y Combinator and angel investors also took part in the all-equity seed round. Prior to this round, the firm was named to Y Combinator’s Winter 2022 cohort, which featured 32 Indian startups.

Sharma stated that RedBrick AI intends to use the funds to go beyond its present client base and reach out to companies. It also intends to employ more engineers in order to enhance its specialist toolkit.
