The accident filled in him about the need to use a reasonable aluminium structure at such events. Arvind knew many people in the event management businesses. He soon met a vendor of aluminium trusses in Delhi and  started researching on aluminium truss. He spent nearly 10 lac rupees in the preliminary research. After an adequate understanding of business, he took a loan to set up a small manufacturing unit, to build an aluminium truss. His first truss was prepared in  9 months and he approached the same dealer in Delhi who had made fun of his idea originally. The dealer advised him to exhibit his truss in Delhi at an event exhibition. Arvind received a decent acknowledgment  for his product. Arvind’s company Devil Truss  manufactures and supplies to events. He has a clients ranging from many prominent to  famous personalities and many event management companies.

Hard work paid off

Devil’s Truss received an award for the best trussing company in India at Mumbai in 2019.

Arvind feels that the condition will soon improve, and massive work will flow, especially the work piled up during the lockdown.

Arvind lives life with a formula of Persistent, and Determination. He feels that no matter how unachievable your dreams look like your persistence and determination, will move you closer towards your objectives and encourage you to achieve them. Arvind’s story is an example of how one can beat all the odds with constant self-improvement.

They started their journey with the software building for a local outlet. It was located near to their college and all friends completed their graduation in 2008 from IIT. After graduation, they successfully launched the accounting solution software, which could manage well the accounts of small businesses. The accounting software that they launched was only capable of handling the small-scale business accounts and the local market did not show good enthusiasm for this. Nevertheless, they did not give and started searching for the perfect market to sell the products and services. They found that great business opportunities and the market area was available for their products and services in Singapore. Now they were ready to enter and decided to shift to Singapore in 2012.

Struggling life in Singapore

The journey to success was an easy task and they have to work very hard on the marketing segments. Indeed door to door selling and marketing was done on the initial stage to make the software popular and generate some income for them. There was a time when they have to sleep on the Airport to save some money.

Growth journey

The tax structure of Singapore was very much according to the software and gradually the demand for the accounting software started rising. The name of the software was Deskera and this becomes quite a popular accounting solution for Singapore citizens. The government supported their started up because of making them were adding good things. They gave goods and services Tax solutions and government departments helped them a lot for this context. After Singapore, Malaysia also switched their taxation system as per the GST and they started working in this context. Soon Deskera offices were opened in Malaysia and this becomes a good breakthrough for the growth of the business.

Turning into a giant company

Soon they recognized the demand for their product and many other countries were also heading in the same direction. Shashank recognized this wonderful opportunity at the right time and soon their software market expanded a lot to America, Indonesia and they shifted their headquarters in San Francisco. The number of employees across three hundred countings and the turnover was crossing the figures of $42 million. They enhanced the capacity of their server and located it at many different places in major cities around the world. In Aug 2016 the company recognized the value of cloud computing in the GST sector and they launched GST cloud-based software in India. It became the first cloud-based provider of the GST software.

Making the dream cum true

Struggles and initial failures are just an important part of the big things in life and Shashank has recognized this factor. He did not give up after facing the initial challenges in life to start up this business. Indeed coming from the middle-class family was a big challenge for him and he positively took everything and worked hard. He worked for the ideas and dreams and did not care about the rest of the things. The best thing was that they opened their mind and prepared themselves for changes. They took every obstacle as the opportunity to work in the direction of the software startup. They did the research and analysis and never hesitated to do the marketing which is the key to success for every business. This story clearly tells us that nothing is impossible and you can always change your fate not matter that your past was.

A Food Blogger And Full Time Foodie – Kalyan Karmakar

0

There are just a couple of individuals who consider pursuing their visions rather than simply satisfying the duties of existing on the planet. Following your own personal enthusiasm gets troublesome now and again, however, the person who conquers these obstacles, gets the opportunity to achieve what’s he want in life, and internal peace forever. They’re correct when they express ‘Genuine progress lies in doing what you love’ and the journey of Kalyan Karmakar, a Mumbai based Market Researcher turned travel and food blogger, demonstrates the truth of the above expression. This was the place he reconnected with his Bengali roots and Indian legacy. Kalyan’s school and school years were moulded by his local cooking and Calcutta’s flourishing road food culture. However, there was an entirely different universe of food hanging tight for him in Mumbai. At the point when he moved there as an economic researcher, not long after college, Kalyan immediately realised that he was in India’s food capital. Parsi, Mangalorean, Gujarati, and so on, the city has diverse in every respect.

Stepping into a new world

Kalyan is a foodie. He used to talk about foods all the time, so his wife thought of opening a food blog for him in 2007.  The name of the site was www.finelychopped.net, he started food blogging. Till 2012 it remained it as just a hobby but thereafter, kalyan converted it into his full time profession.

It was quite a tough decision on part of  Kalyan, but he believed in the saying that if you don’t have mental peace then, what is the use of such hard-earned money? He soon became a celebrated blogger. He has penned multiple books like The Travelling Belly – Eating, Through India’s By-Lanes etc.

Kalyan started eating more often at home and experimenting together with his food choices, whether home or outside. He combined more grains, meats and millets into his diet and even began eating vegetables he never liked before. His snacks changed course from ordered-in egg rolls to nuts and fruits. He really started enjoying his journey and he’s proud to mention that he hasn’t had one bad meal since. In Buddhism, they recite of “turning poison into medicine”. He was now in a much better frame of mind to deal with the diagnosis. He understood completely what needed to be done, and took up the challenge to still eat good food. Of course, he changed the way he ate previously , but he still enjoy his meals.

Food is his life

Kalyan Karmakar’s is not just one of the many famous personalities in the Indian blogging zone, but he is a very good example of thinking out of the box and making a hobby into a career which he would never get in his market researcher job. He is always hungry for taste.

A New Mohammed Rafi – Saurav Kishan

2

It has been years since the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi has left us, still his mesmerising voice never fails to win people’s hearts, even after so many decades. The songs still showcase his artistic calibre and versatility, probably that is why people still wonder if someone with a similar melodies singer will ever come again. Anand Mahindra has now shared a video which may provide an answer to that question.

The 23-year-old Saurav Kishan, is a medical student at a university in China, and has been homebound since February. As he speaks over phone, he continues to remain in disbelief over the amazingly positive response that has come his way for his video.

“I remember singing at a music reality show, where late Johnson Master said my singing sounded like listening to a Chota Rafi sa’ab.”

Narrating that the epithet isn’t new for him, he says it was acquired soon after he started participating in programmes where Rafi’s songs were part of his repertoire.

The clip, which shows a person singing a song by Mohammed Rafi in a soulful voice, was originally shared by Twitter user Judish Raj.

Raj’s caption detailed that the singer’s name is Saurav Kishan who hails from Kozhikode, Kerala. He also added that Kishan is locally known as Chota Rafi.
